Creative workshops are a fun, original way to celebrate a special milestone or simply connect over a shared activity. Over the years, I have loved hosting sessions for:

Every workshop is fully tailored to you. Rather than releasing set public calendar dates, my sessions are bookable exclusively for private groups.
Simply gather your own circle of friends, family, or colleagues, choose your craft, and pick a date that works for everyone.

Standard Availability: Tuesday to Friday, between 10:00 am and 5:00 pm (with occasional evening or Saturday slots depending on availability).

Home Bookings: Hosted in my creative space, requires a minimum group size of 3 guests or a minimum spend of £150.

Mobile Bookings: Hosted at your choice of venue or home, requires a minimum spend of £200 (plus any applicable travel or venue hire fees).

Where Shall We Gather?
To give your group maximum flexibility, I offer three venue options. Because traveling and room hire require extra logistics, joining me at my home creative space offers the best value.
My Home in Frampton Cotterell, Bristol - I welcome small groups (up to 6 people) into my home where I run relaxed, friendly creative sessions in my spacious, well-lit garden room, or outside during the summer months (weather permitting!) These are the best value sessions because there's no additional charge for venue hire, packing-up time or travel expenses!
Your home - If you, or one of your group has a suitable space and wishes to host, I am happy to bring my materials & equipment to you and run a workshop in your home All you'll need is a table large enough to accommodate your group, with space for everyone to work on their project.
(Typically available for Block Printing and Lampshade Making workshops only - not the combined, full day session. Charges to cover additional packing up time and travel expenses applied )
A Hired Venue - I can meet your group at a local community hall, workplace, or external studio of your choice.

INDIAN BLOCK PRINTING
Explore this traditional art of printing on fabric to create beautiful items for yourself and your home.
Learn all the techniques & tips you need to begin your exciting journey into Indian block printing.
Choose from an extensive collection of gorgeous hand carved wooden print blocks & paint colours to experiment on practice fabric.
Once confident of your skills you'll start by decorating a cotton make-up bag before moving on to print either:
a set of 6 cotton/linen napkins or a table runner
Or any combination of 2 of the following:

All blank materials, aprons & refreshments are included in the cost.

LAMPSHADE MAKING
Create the perfect statement lampshade to complement your room!
Join Lou at this rewarding workshop and learn how to make your own contemporary drum lampshade in just 2.5 hours!
You'll be guided step by step to making a professional quality 30cm or 40cm diameter drum shade that will make a real impact in your home - and the joy of knowing you made it yourself!
You'll just need to bring half a metre of your favourite medium weight cotton or cotton/linen mix fabric (nothing stretchy!) and I'll provide the rest - including light refreshments.

INDIAN BLOCK PRINTING & LAMPSHADE MAKING
Combine the two; learn how to block print, then turn your handprinted fabric into a beautiful, unique lampshade, all in one glorious day of creativity (with a delicious home cooked lunch included!)
Learn two wonderful crafts in one creative day and make something truly unique for your home.
Master the skills of Indian block printing and lampshade making to create a beautiful, bespoke shade in your own custom printed fabric.
You'll spend the morning learning the fundamentals of block printing and experimenting with technique, pattern and colour on practice fabric. When you are happy with your final design you will print it onto a piece of natural-coloured cotton linen fabric.
In the afternoon I'll guide you through all the stages of transforming your bespoke fabric into a unique and beautiful drum or empire lampshade! Don't worry if you've never done anything like this before - I'll be there to break the process down and guide you every step of the way!
