Indian Block Printing: 2.5 hrs £40
Explore this traditional art of printing on fabric to create beautiful items for yourself and your home. Join Lou in the cosy Craft Room at The Nook to learn all the techniques & tips you need to begin your exciting journey into Indian block printing. Choose from an extensive collection of gorgeous hand carved wooden print blocks & paint colours to experiment on practice fabric. Once confident of your skills you’ll start by decorating a cotton make-up bag before moving on to print either:
a set of 6 cotton/linen napkins or a table runner
Or any 2 of the following:
tote bag, tea towel or cushion cover.
All blank materials, aprons & refreshments are included in the cost.
Additional printable materials will be available to purchase on the day if desired.

Lampshade Making Workshop
2.5 hrs £40*
Create the perfect statement lampshade to complement your room! Join Lou at this rewarding workshop and learn how to make your own contemporary drum lampshade in just 2.5 hours! You’ll be guided step by step to making a professional quality 30cm or 40cm diameter drum shade that will make a real impact in your home - and the joy of knowing you made it yourself!
You'll just need to bring half a metre of your favourite medium weight cotton or cotton/linen mix fabric (nothing stretchy!) and I’ll provide the rest – including a glass of wine, tea/coffee & nibbles.

*It's £40 to make a 30cm diameter drum lampshade. If you'd like to go extra large with a 40cm shade, just pay an extra £5 on the day!
Please let me know in advance if you'd like to make a 40cm shade.

What You Need To Bring:
A piece of medium-weight firm cotton fabric. To make a 30 or 40cm lampshade you'll need to bring a piece half a metre of your chosen fabric. This allows plenty of flexibility for pattern placement, so you can get the best bits of the design front and central on your handmade shade!

Indian Block Printing & Lampshade Making Full Day
10.30am - 4.30pm £99.50
Learn two wonderful crafts in one creative day and make something truly unique for your home. Master the skills of Indian block printing and lampshade making to create a beautiful, bespoke shade in your own custom printed fabric.
You'll spend the morning learning the fundamentals of block printing and experimenting with technique, pattern and colour on practice fabric. When you are happy with your final design you will print it onto a piece of natural-coloured cotton linen fabric.
Bring your own lunch or treat yourself to food from our lovely neighbours at Magnolia Mews Bakehouse.
In the afternoon Lou will guide you through all the stages of transforming your bespoke fabric into a unique and beautiful lampshade! Don’t worry if you’ve never done anything like this before - I'll be there to break the process down and guide you every step of the way!

Pressed Flower Art & Cards 2hrs £40

Join Lou for a delightful journey into the joyful world of pressed flower art! Discover how to create your own pressed flower cards and artwork and bring the beauty of nature into your home.
Workshop includes:

Where To Find Us
Workshops take place at the back of our gorgeous Frampton Cotterell shop in ‘The Craft Room’ – an inspirational making space which hosts up to ten people. Come along and meet other friendly crafters, bring a friend - or even book it for a group of you to enjoy a crafting experience together.
We Can Come To You
If your numbers are too big for us to host (more than 10 people) we can bring our craft workshops to you! We have experience of providing workshops to large groups, using mindful craft activities to support the mental well-being of employees, carers and health workers.
Discounts are available for group bookings dependent on numbers.
Special Events & Group Bookings
Our craft experiences are a wonderfully unique way to celebrate a special occasion such as a birthday or hen party. They're also great for team building or simply as a staff treat! We can tailor them to your unique needs.

Cancellation policy: Please note our workshops are non-refundable. However, if we receive a cancellation at least 7 days prior to the event, we are happy to rebook you onto another workshop within 12 months.

CrafterNoon Teas

A CrafterNoon Tea is the perfect way to celebrate a special occasion - or to create one of your own! Spend some quality time together with friends or family doing a fun & relaxing craft activity in our Craft Room. Just gather your group, agree on a date and we will provide all your craft materials, freshly baked scones with jam, clotted cream, unlimited tea/coffee and a glass of Prosecco!
Making a booking
Any of our workshops can be turned into a CrafterNoon Tea experience - just add £15 per person to the usual cost and allow an extra half hour!

Kid's craft parties
Our lovely Craft Room is the perfect space for your crafty kid’s
next birthday bash! A great opportunity to get messy with their
mates - our party workshops are fun, friendly and creative.
Birthday workshops last for approximately 2 hours and can
accommodate up to 10 children. Choose your craft from our list of
creative activities below.
We provide all the materials, equipment and aprons. You just turn
up and have a lovely time - and most importantly walk away without
having to clear up any of the mess!!
Squash & biscuits included. £25 per child - minimum spend £100
(Feel free to bring your own cake & candles, party food or any
additional decorations!)
Kid’s party craft activities

Pebble Art pictures - create a piece of framed artwork using
beautiful beach finds including pebbles, driftwood & shells. (Suitable for 9+ years only as we use hot glue guns) -
Indian Block Printing – decorate a useful bag & pencil case or a cushion cover to adorn your bedroom (7+ years)

Macrame Hanging Feathers – learn the simple knotting techniques required to create beautiful macrame feathers to create hanging decorations & key rings (9+ years)

Pressed Flower Projects – make a glass jar lantern, decorative pebble and framed picture using pressed flowers (7+ years)

Air-dry Clay pots & hanging decorations – make a variety of small decorative items by impressing botanical patterns into clay and then shaping them. Note: these do not require firing in a kiln but are taken home unpainted. Clay dries white and can be painted later if desired. (7+ years)

Decoupage – use patterned papers to decorate various items such as initial letters & small boxes (7+ years)

Crafty hen parties
If you’re looking for an original way to help your hen celebrate her special day, why not book a creative party in our lovely Nook & Cranny Craft Room. We can accommodate up to 12 people and provide all your materials, nibbles and a glass of celebratory Prosecco.(Feel free to bring more of your own!)
Everyone gets to create their own beautiful, handcrafted item to take away, plus a jointly made keepsake for the hen as a reminder of her special day.
