Join me in the lovely Nook workshop to create the most important finishing touch for any room - a beautiful, contemporary lampshade.
I will guide you step-by-step through all the stages - from best placement of your fabric to rolling your panels onto the rings, with useful tips throughout to help you achieve a high-quality finish. Groups are no bigger than six so you will get plenty of support and are encouraged to work together at times where two pairs of hands and eyes make the process easier! It’s a very friendly, collaborative experience, where you can share in the satisfaction of each creating your own beautiful drum lampshades, and take away all the skills you need to make many more!
I will provide all the materials & guidance you need – as well as homemade cake and a choice of teas & coffee or a glass of fizz.
You just need to bring along your chosen fabric; preferably a light to medium weight cotton, polycotton or a cotton/linen mix. If you have any questions about fabric or wish to choose something from my fabric selection, just get in touch or pop into the shop before the day.
For a 20cm size lampshade you will need a 75cm x 25cm piece of fabric
For a 30cm size lampshade you will need a 110cm x 30cm piece of fabric
COST:
It's £40 to make a 20cm diameter lampshade, or pay an additional £5 on the day if you'd like to make a 30cm diameter shade.

You can now do lampshade making as a CrafterNoon Tea activity, or book a one-to-one session in our lovely workshop or in the comfort of your own home. To find out more information about any of these just get in touch!
If you’d like to give a workshop as a gift but don't want to commit the recipient to a specific date, I have vouchers available that are valid for a year from the day of purchase. These can be posted to you or collected from the shop.

HAD A LOVELY AFTERNOON with Lou lampshade making. She made everyone feel at ease and the whole session was so relaxing. She was around to help but also keen for us to all to 'have a go' independently. Left feeling very happy and accomplished with my new skills.
